1995
Born in New Zealand
Wet & Forget began in New Zealand with a simple idea: make outdoor cleaning easier by removing the need for scrubbing, rinsing, and pressure washing.
2005
Wet & Forget Arrives in the U.S.
Wet & Forget expanded to Elgin, Illinois, bringing Wet & Forget Outdoor Original concentrate to American homeowners. The first U.S. sale was made to SeaWorld in Florida, helping introduce the brand’s easy outdoor cleaning solution to a new market.
2008
A Bigger Opportunity Takes Shape
Wet & Forget Outdoor Original caught the attention of Costco as a unique, easy-to-use product for homeowners. That early retail test helped prove consumers were ready for a simpler way to clean exterior surfaces. Wet & Forget USA also opened its first office and hired its first employees.
2009
Retail Momentum Builds
After a successful Costco test, Wet & Forget expanded further and Ace Hardware became a new retail partner. National exposure on the Today Show introduced more homeowners to the brand and helped fuel major growth.
2010
U.S. Production Begins
Wet & Forget began producing products in the United States, helping the brand support growing demand and serve customers more efficiently.
2011
Growing the Wet & Forget Footprint
Wet & Forget moved into a new office with warehouse space to support online fulfillment for retailers and consumers. Lowe’s became a new retail partner, and Wet & Forget continued to gain momentum at Costco.
2012
Wet & Forget Shower Cleaner Launches
Wet & Forget introduced a category-changing weekly shower cleaner designed to keep showers cleaner with less effort. The 64 oz. bottle offered up to 12 weeks of cleaning, giving consumers a convenient way to simplify shower care.
2013
New Indoor Solutions Join the Lineup
Wet & Forget expanded beyond outdoor cleaning with the launch of Miss Muffet’s Revenge indoor and outdoor spider spray, along with Wet & Forget Indoor Mold + Mildew Disinfectant Cleaner.
2015
A Major Retail Partnership with Lowe’s
Wet & Forget continued to grow with expanded availability at Menards, while Lowe’s became a major retail partner for the brand. This milestone helped bring Wet & Forget Outdoor Cleaner and Wet & Forget Shower Cleaner to more consumers looking for easier ways to clean without scrubbing.
2016
Ready-to-Use Convenience Arrives
Wet & Forget launched a ready-to-spray version of Outdoor Cleaner with an attached sprayer and 3-foot cord, making it even easier for consumers to apply the product right from the bottle.
2017
Taking Outdoor Cleaning to New Heights
Wet & Forget launched Outdoor Xtreme Reach Hose End, giving consumers up to a 30-foot reach for roofs, siding, and hard-to-reach exterior surfaces. Wet & Forget Shower Cleaner expanded into Home Depot, and Wet & Forget products were featured on QVC. Wet & Forget Outdoor Cleaners also expands into Canada.
2019
Xtreme Reach Expands at Costco
Costco launched Wet & Forget Xtreme Reach Hose End in a 68 oz. bottle, giving consumers an easy way to clean large outdoor areas with up to 3,000 sq. ft. of coverage.
2020
More Options for Wet & Forget Fans
Wet & Forget introduced the much-requested Hose End Refill for Xtreme Reach Hose End and partnered with Amazon to offer the full line of Wet & Forget products online.
2022
A New Fresh Scent for the Bathroom
In response to consumer demand, Wet & Forget launched a new Fresh Scent for Wet & Forget Shower, giving consumers another bathroom scent option beyond the original vanilla.
2023
Wet & Forget Shower Cleaner Gains National Attention
Three Today Show appearances featuring Wet & Forget Shower Cleaner at Amazon helped introduce even more consumers to the product and build strong demand in the bathroom cleaner category.
2024
A New Ownership Chapter Begins
Wet & Forget entered a new chapter of ownership while Wet & Forget Shower Cleaner surpassed 50,000 5-star reviews, reflecting years of consumer trust and loyalty.
2025
New Cleaning Mists Launch Nationwide
Wet & Forget launched WF Shower Ultra Cleaning Mist, Wet & Forget Bathroom, and Wet & Forget Mold + Mildew Cleaner at major retailers. Wet & Forget also introduced Window & Screen Cleaner, an easy way to clean windows and screens with no scrubbing, wiping, or screen removal.
2026
A Refreshed Brand & New Outdoor Solutions
Wet & Forget rolled out a refreshed brand look with a new logo and updated labels. The year also brought Wet & Forget 2in1 House + Window Wash, Wet & Forget Outdoor Spaces for outdoor living areas, expanded distribution for Shower Ultra Cleaning Mist, and the rebrand of Wet & Forget Outdoor Original as the new Wet & Forget Outdoor MAX.
